Generations of mostly black & brown people have suffered immensely as the “war on drugs” ravaged communities and sent droves of young men and women to prison for the “crime” of using or perhaps selling some cannabis. As the world wakes up to this madness and cannabis takes its rightful place as a wonderful herb the business of cannabis is often shutting out these same people who were disproportionally targeted over the years. As a newly legalizing industry supporting minority owned businesses along with women owned businesses and original growers and small farmers is a great way to use the power of cannabis to right some historical wrongs.
